Pittsburgh Steelers Schedule – Another Tough Year in the AFC North

With the pigskin once again flying in stadiums all over the country, the Steelers are back with another team that seems poised to make yet another run at the playoffs. Big Ben Roethlisberger is developing some real chemistry with speedster Mike Wallace, their defense is as strong as it usually is, and the Steelers look to be one of the scariest teams in the AFC, which is pretty much a trend at this point. Here’s a look at the top games on the Pittsburgh Steelers schedule this year that Steelers fans won’t want to miss.

Week 4, Steelers at Texans:

The Texans have been on the verge of getting over the hump in the AFC South, and this season looks to be as prime for the taking as ever before with health issues surrounding Peyton Manning in Indy. The Steelers play a much different style of football than the Texans, a team known for a high-flying offense, making for an interesting matchup featuring two of the strongest overall teams in the conference.

Week 8, Pats at Steelers:

The Pats are probably going to be one of the top teams in all of football until Tom Brady hangs up the cleats. In a matchup featuring two of the top franchises over the last ten years, there will be plenty on the line and we should have two of the more complete teams in the NFL going toe-to-toe. Whoever can dictate their style of play will likely end up the winner in this one, but either way it will be one of the better regular season matchups to grab NFL tickets for.

Week 9, Ravens at Steelers:

The Ravens blew out the Steelers to open the season, but this one will be a whole different ball game. The Steelers are very formidable at home against divisional rivals, making for a hard-hitting game that will be a real test for Pittsburgh as they look to claw to the top of the AFC North. Can the Steelers make the adjustments and beat the Ravens the second time around?

Week 10, Steelers at Bengals:

Though the Bengals weren’t picked by many experts at the beginning of the season, this one could be a trap game for the Steelers. Cincinnati always has plenty of Steelers fans that make the short trip, which should create a raucous atmosphere as Pittsburgh looks to get a big win before heading into their bye week. The Steelers could very well be worn down from two brutal games against top-tier AFC opponents, but they have to be able to pull together and beat teams like Cincy if they want to get back to the Super Bowl.

Week 15, Steelers at 49ers:

In the sole Monday night game of the season, the Steelers should have plenty on the line as they travel across the country for a rumble with the 49ers. It’s never easy for teams in the East to travel to the West Coast, but the Steelers will probably need a big win in this one if they want to finish atop the AFC North standings.

Week 16, Rams at Steelers:

In the last home game of the regular season, the Steelers will have to beat a talented young Rams team that is going to be a problem for teams not ready for them. This should be a fun game with plenty of playoff implications.
